Installing from source code is the most difficult method for obtaining software on Linux and in most cases is not necessary.Typically applications you must compile from source will come as a “.tar.gz”, “.tar.bz2″, or “.zip” file. First you have to download the software and extract the same to a folder.
This first command will generates files required to build the software and setup system-wide parameters
This second command will build the libraries and applications.
This third command will install the libraries and applications.
