Have you been receiving a lot of unsolicited spam mails from a friend lately and he claims he has nothing to do with it? Chances are that his mail account has been hacked. If you are a Hotmail user, you can notify the mail service that your friend’s account has been compromised. Login to your Hotmail account and go to inbox and open a mail from your friend. On the top menu bar, select ‘Mark as’ and in the drop down menu click the last item that reads ‘My friend has been hacked!’. A pop up box would ask for your confirmation if you want to mark the mail id as hacked. Just select yes and you would see another popup box saying ‘Thank you for helping in identifying compromised accounts’. The service works for mails from Yahoo and Gmail as well. Once identified, the mail service can then suspend the mail account or work with the original owner to provide access back
