Unfortunately, the windows admins doesnot like to work on Linux box because of the GUI problems. Here comes webmin. Webmin is a web-based system configuration tool for Unix-like systems, although recent versions can also be installed and run on Windows.

Here we are going to discuss about managing sendmail server via webmin. First you need to install webmin ( Read This ) Then access the webmin interface via a browser. To manage sendmail server just go to servers and click on sendmail server. You will get a window similar to the one shown below.

Now lets discuss about some of the important module configurations.

1) Sendmail Options.

Here we need to define some of the sendmail options like,Send outgoing mail via host,Delivery mode,Max load average for sending,Min time before retrying send etc.


Once you have done the above changes click on Save Button.

2) Network Ports

Here you need to define the sendmail port number if you are using other than port number 25.

3)Sendmail M4 Configuration.

Here you need to configure the Sendmail M4 configuration file.This page lists the relevant entries from the Sendmail M4 configuration file /etc/mail/sendmail.mc, from which the actual configuration file /etc/mail/sendmail.cf is built. Please refer one default sendmail M4 Configuration file.
