Some times when you change the schema of Solr, you have to re index the entire database in Solr Server. This can be achieved in a systematic manner. First you have to stop the services of solr by killing the process shown below

[root@pss1 ~]# ps -ax | grep java
Warning: bad syntax, perhaps a bogus '-'? See /usr/share/doc/procps-3.2.3/FAQ
 4459 pts/1    S+     0:00 grep java
15062 pts/3    Sl   2818:02 java -jar start.jar
15064 pts/3    Sl     0:08 java -jar HServer.jar
[root@pss1 ~]#
Then kill the process
[root@pss1 ~]#kill 15062

Now you can go to the solr data location and delte the entire data directory. The location of the data directory is mentioned below


This will clear all the data in Solr server. Now you can start the solr server and index your entire database by using your application
